We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a well established business in Banbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT-qualified professional who enjoys working across all areas of accounts and is looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility, and career growth.
You’ll be supporting the Finance Director and wider team with both day-to-day processing and month-end tasks, whilst also being a key contact for clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounts, including processing invoices and payments.
Support with month-end reporting and preparation of documentation.
Manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Handle queries from clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Carry out credit control and purchase control.
Complete bank reconciliations (Sterling and Euro).
Maintain accurate financial filing systems via the CRM.
Provide support with Health & Safety and ISO documentation.
Undertake wider administrative and accounts tasks to support the team.
About You
AAT Level 3 Qualified
Previous experience with SAGE 50 (or similar accounting software).
Strong IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders.
